Directv aim meter update. On your meter. Power on the AIM meter. Press CONFIG Firmware Upgrade.
Insert memory stick into the USB port on the AIM meter. This upgrade process can take up to a few minutes to complete. When the upgrade is complete press OK to reboot.
The AIM meter will then upgrade and reboot. If AIM does not power back up press the power button. To update your meter follow the instructions in your user manual and use the DIRECTV-supplied flash drive to transfer the firmware to your meter.

Im wanting to find a way to get the updates for this meter via thumb drive furnished with meter when purchased from E-bay. Ive tried the webpage for installers and cant hack a password. Turn the meter on.
Select the Yellow Config button Select Firmware Upgrade 4 then hit OK Select what you would like to upgrade. Application and Database Press OK then follow the prompts and allow the meter to reboot. Help with AIM meter firmware update issue needed.

For those that tried to update the firmware and software I had the same problem. The USB drive that came with the AIM had nothing on it. I went to the following URL and downloaded the newest update for free.
